AppWorx Announces OS/400 Agent
Friday, 20 May 2005AppWorx Corporation, developer of the AppWorx business process automation and scheduling software, announced today the release of an AppWorx Agent for OS/400. The Agent will allow users of IBM's OS/400 operating system to automate and control processing of applications on their OS/400 machines, coordinating these processes with other applications across the enterprise. Leading companies worldwide use AppWorx to schedule, automate and manage key business applications including Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, Retek Retail and SAP. AppWorx provides flexible cross-platform and cross-application processing with a web-based Java GUI, enabling users to control the application environment from any network browser.
"The release of the AppWorx OS/400 Agent expands the support of the AppWorx product and its 'out of the box' integration capabilities to applications on the IBM eServerŪ platform," said Brian Miller, VP Technical Services, AppWorx Corporation. "The importance of the OS/400 market to us meant that we involved BPM Solutions, a leading integrator on the eServer platform with extensive knowledge of the operational issues that organizations with mixed OS/400, Unix and Windows systems will experience. We have also extensively used beta customers to help us shape our technology to meet market requirements."
Antoine Vincent from BPM Solutions adds, "With the new AppWorx OS/400 Agent, eServer customers will benefit from an innovative, event-driven approach to automation and integration of business processes. AppWorx enables a scaleable, reusable solution that also provides a simple way to manage processes throughout their development, operational and maintenance life cycle -- something that no other scheduling tool can currently provide. AppWorx also automates testing and validation of business events and parameters to ensure faster and successful execution of application processing. When dealing with thousands of processes in the batch window, rapid processing analysis is vital to ensuring that organizations can meet Service Level Agreements."
